About The Railyard Bike & Dog Park

The Railyard Bike & Dog Park is a free, city-run bike park in downtown Rogers, Arkansas, and it’s one of the most fun places in Northwest Arkansas to session on two wheels. Packed into about six acres, it mixes a pump track, dirt jump lines and progression flow lines with a fenced dog park right next door, so you can ride while the dog runs.

Trail details

This isn’t a cross-country trail system — it’s a compact bike park you lap and session. Built by Progressive Trail Design and opened in 2015, it packs a lot into a small footprint:

  • A pump track and a youth skills course for first-timers and kids.
  • A set of slopestyle and dirt jump lines that step up in difficulty, from mellow rollers and berms to mandatory gaps and steep wall rides.
  • The signature feature: a repurposed Arkansas & Missouri Railroad boxcar with a roller section built through it on the intermediate line.

It’s genuinely progression-friendly. Beginners can roll big berms and an optional wall ride, intermediates get the boxcar rollers, and stronger riders have gaps and steeper features to hit. Bring a hardtail, dirt jumper or trail bike — whatever you like to jump and pump.

The park / where it is

The Railyard sits in downtown Rogers, tucked below the historic district and right beside Lake Atalanta. It’s free to ride, lit at night, and has a covered pavilion with restrooms. The City of Rogers maintains it year-round. The neighboring dog park is a fenced off-leash area, which is why the full name is the Railyard Bike & Dog Park. Because it’s downtown, you’re a short pedal or drive from food, coffee and the rest of the Rogers trail network.

Connected & nearby trails

The Railyard connects straight into the Lake Atalanta Park singletrack, so you can warm up on the jumps and then head out for real dirt miles around the lake. For paved connections, the Blossom Way Trailhead links this area to the Razorback Regional Greenway, and the Horsebarn Trailhead is another greenway access point in Rogers if you want to roll paved miles between stops.

Know before you go

Dirt jumps and slopestyle lines ride best when they’re dry — give them a day or two after rain so you’re not tearing up soft lips. Wear a helmet, start on the smaller lines and work up. It’s free and open to the public, and the lights make evening sessions possible in summer. If you bring the dog, use the fenced dog park rather than the riding area so nobody gets clipped by a bike.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Railyard good for beginners and kids?

Yes. There’s a youth skills course and a pump track, plus a beginner line with big rolling berms and an optional wall ride. It’s built for progression, so newer riders and kids have plenty to work on before stepping up to the jumps.

How much does it cost to ride?

Nothing. The Railyard is a free, public bike park maintained by the City of Rogers.

Is there really a dog park?

Yes. The Railyard Bike & Dog Park includes a fenced off-leash dog park next to the riding area, so you can ride while your dog runs.

Is the Railyard a mountain bike trail system?

Not exactly. It’s a compact bike park with a pump track, dirt jumps and progression lines that you session in laps. For singletrack miles, head next door to the Lake Atalanta trails.

Where do I park?

The Railyard has parking on site in downtown Rogers, and it shares the area with Lake Atalanta Park, so there’s plenty of room to leave the car and ride both.

Can I ride at night?

Yes. The park has lighting, so evening sessions are possible, which is handy during hot Arkansas summers.
