About Lake Atalanta Park

Lake Atalanta Park in Rogers, Arkansas wraps singletrack and a paved lakeside loop around a pretty spring-fed lake, all just east of downtown. It’s the trail hub of Rogers: real dirt for mountain bikers, an easy paved loop for families, and it sits right next to the Railyard Bike Park.

Trail details

There are two things to ride here. The singletrack system stacks up to more than 10 miles of natural-surface trail on the hillsides above the lake, with everything from mellow green flow to blue intermediate and steep, techy black-diamond lines. You’ll find named favorites like Mustang Sally, Billy Goat and Ridge Runner, plus built features such as log skinnies, rollers and boardwalks. Around the water itself, a roughly 1.9-mile paved loop with boardwalks over the lake makes an easy spin for beginners, families and anyone on a hybrid or e-bike.

That mix makes Lake Atalanta a good all-levels stop: easy laps by the water, or a proper Ozark ride with climbs and technical bits if you head into the woods.

The park / where it is

The park is built around Lake Atalanta, a spring-fed lake in an Ozark forest setting on the east edge of downtown Rogers. Beyond the trails, there are playgrounds, picnic pavilions and walking paths, so it works as a family park as much as a riding spot. Parking, water and restrooms are available at the developed areas near the lake. It’s leashed-dog friendly on the paved paths.

Connected & nearby trails

The Railyard Bike & Dog Park sits right next door — warm up on the pump track and jumps, then head into the Atalanta singletrack. The Blossom Way Trailhead connects this area to the Razorback Regional Greenway if you want paved miles. For a bigger backcountry day, the Hidden Diversity Trail at Hobbs State Park is a short drive east on Highway 12.

Know before you go

The dirt rides best when it’s dry — after heavy rain give the singletrack a day or two so you don’t rut soft tread. The paved lake loop drains fast and is fine most of the year. Bring water in summer; Arkansas heat and humidity are real. Keep dogs leashed on the paved paths, and yield to hikers and walkers, especially near the lake where it’s busy on weekends.
